Life can present us with many experiences and through those obstacles/successes we develop a newfound self-awareness that is beneficial for self-discovery as well as authentic living. Sometimes those challenges can become overwhelming, which is why learning how to take responsibility and navigate through them is critical to one's development and life fulfillment. Living a meaningful, authentic, healthy life is the key to success in maintaining a balanced lifestyle. I see clients of all ages, although my specialty is childhood through middle adulthood. I have specializations in military culture and family as well as trauma and crisis, however I can also work with any of the following issues: anxiety, self-esteem, depression, life transitions/adjustments, identity/sexuality, behavioral problems, grief, relationship, and family dynamics. I take a humanistic-existential approach to counseling, where individuals experience continual change and growth by finding meaning and value through promotion of freedom and authentic living. My goal is to facilitate growth through collaboration with the individual(s) in exploring and understanding oneself to live a healthy life with the freedom of choice.
