Seeking counseling is a valiant decision. My focus is to develop a relationship based on treating each other with dignity and respect. Once this is established, we can explore options and create a plan focused on solutions. Counseling is a process in which we will discuss many issues for the purpose of creating positive changes. It provides an opportunity to better understand yourself. Participating in therapy may result in a number of benefits to you, including reduced stress and anxiety, improved relationships and increased confidence. My specialty areas include: Parent/Child Relationships, Communication and Relationship skills, Trauma Recovery, Grief Counseling, Career Counseling, ADHD, Depression, and Anxiety. I have also worked extensively with children and teens with Developmental Delays and Learning Disabilities. I have been working with children and families in schools for the past 20 years as a teacher of adolescents with emotional disturbance, counselor, and school psychologist. I enjoy helping the students, but it is just as fulfilling working with families to help them create equilibrium in their lives.
