Couples, individuals and children/families: I specialize in children, families and couples. I work in a collaborative way to increase the health of the family system/partnership. I use EFT for couples therapy and play therapy with children (my office includes a playroom). I may work individually with a child, but always ask the caretaker to take an active role in the process (filial therapy). Therapy can help children and families get back on their appropriate developmental trajectory. Emotionally Focused Couples therapy (EFT). This is a empirically validated form of couples therapy. It looks at the dance or negative cycle/pattern that couples get stuck in. When a couple can identify this stuck place then they can start to transform it into a different and more connected/fulfilling relationship.
