Life can be difficult. Silver Lining counseling as the name suggests helps to find that one "Silver Lining" that will make situations better. Therapy can also be an adjustment therefore I believe the first session is meant to just talk and figure out if the therapeutic relationship is a good fit. As an undergraduate I had training in Special Education/Learning Disabilities. I received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse College. During my years at Converse I had training in working with individuals, couples, and families with various Disorders. I work at New Hope Baptist Church and am currently seeking licensure. I also received therapy training in the specific fields of Play, Parenting, and ADHD. I myself have had personal experience with disabilities which helps my clients to relate to me.
