I specialize in working with families and their children from birth to age 12. I provide a safe and nurturing environment in which children and their families can be supported in their efforts to change and grow. I am passionate about helping parents and all others involved in the lives of children, understand the importance of early healthy social and emotional development as the foundation for lifelong mental health and wellness. I use a variety of play therapy, cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness based approaches and build upon the strengths of the child and family. I help young children and their families learn to negotiate difficult life situations and teach them more adaptive ways of managing and moving beyond them. I have previous experience as a both a preschool and elementary school teacher. I use a collaborative approach with parents, caregivers and teachers to promote positive, productive relationships and to provide the best opportunity for success.
