Feeling overwhelmed? Fearful? Life brings many challenges. Sometimes we hurt the ones we love the most. Sometimes, things are done to us that damage us for a long time. Things that are hard to face, but won't go away. All to often, we get busy, build up walls, become isolated, and sometimes can't find our way back without help. Faith-based counseling can help individuals and couples find their way back to their former selves, make change and repair relationships, restoring our joy and peace. Professional and compassionate counseling can help traumatized clients begin to heal again. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional though the IATP. I am experienced in working with clients with a broad spectrum of presenting issues ranging from marriage and relationship issues to more serious mental health disorders, substance/sexual abuse issues and traumatic experiences, (including vicarious trauma, first responder/ police issues). I enjoy helping clients discover who they are. We usually begin by establishing a firm foundation by identifying values and personal/family strengths.We work to overcome obstacles to growth. Finally, we integrate mindfulness, positive/rational thinking, and planning/goal-setting to become the person you want to be.
