I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults; and have an extensive amount of experience working with individuals with mental, physical, and intellectual disabilities; including autism, depression, and anxiety. My experience and techniques also involve person-centered therapy, career counseling, cognitive- behavioral therapy and play therapy, but I believe it is important to work with the client in a way that suits them, and that different techniques can be used depending on the client and the struggle they are facing at that moment. I also have an interest in young adults, relationship issues, couples, self-esteem, and family systems. My goal in therapy is for the client to feel empowered and develop coping strategies and confidence in their ability to make decisions. I obtained my undergraduate degree from James Madison University and my master's from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and am also working on becoming a Positive Behavior Support Facilitator.
