In our busy lives, feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and uncertain is a common experience. Counseling offers a safe, non-judgmental space to better understand your world, and to find new ways to approach and improve your life. My role as a counselor is to help you identify and expand on your strengths as well as to provide unconditional support as we look with curiosity and compassion at the elements that have formed your life experience. Together our goal is to foster lasting positive change in the way you approach your work, your relationships with others, and yourself. I received my MS in Counseling from the University of Southern Maine with a Certificate of Expertise in Family Systems. I worked with clients during my clinical internship at the Employee Assistance Program at L.L. Bean in Freeport and at the New England Family Institute in Portland. Previous to my counseling work, I volunteered with Hospice, studied yoga, mindfulness, and creative writing, and have been a parent for 8 years. I view counseling as an innately hopeful experience.
