In the 25 years that I have been practicing as a licensed clinical social worker and marriage and family therapist, I have developed an approach that includes gentle, yet directed guidance as I work cooperatively with my clients. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults, including college students, couples, and cancer patients and their families. I have special interest and training in the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders in women during their childbearing years. I am an advocate of identifying and treating women with pregnancy or postpartum depression/anxiety because I believe that many women suffer unnecessarily when their condition has not been diagnosed. There are many other aspects of women's reproductive health that respond well to psychotherapy. These may involve issues related to menopause, premenstrual dysphoric disorder(PMDD) or infertility. Those who have experienced loss through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death often state that it is helpful to talk to someone who specializes in these areas. I assisted in establishing the Beyond the Baby Blues Support Group at the Columbia Center in Mequon, WI and I continue to consult with the program. I recently opened my own private practice with my husband, Dr. Dave Eichenhofer, PhD and look forward to offering quality services to individuals, couples, & families.
