Amazing things happen when there's a connection where you feel truly heard and understood - where you know you have the other person's full attention. I'm always curious. How did you get yourself through that nightmarish situation? What is it that your friends appreciate about you? Where do your values and beliefs come from? What vision do you have for your life five years from now? What hopes do you have for your daughter or son? I'm grateful for your willingness to include me in your journey, and I know that I'll learn from you. Problems can be overwhelming. I want to take action, together with you, to do something about them. I also hope that our effort results in a deepened appreciation for your abilities, for the qualities that have helped you to carry on, and for the connections in your life. I use EMDR to provide relief from the effects of painful past experiences. After successful EMDR, people still remember the event, but it doesn't upset them as it did before.
