Psychotherapy is a process fueled by curiosity about ourselves- our motivations, identity, relationships, etc. We all have problems we must cope with and learning new patterns of coping that are not self-defeating is essential to changing ourselves and our relationships. New perspectives and strategies of behavior are learned by exploring the past, by developing positive ways to see and talk to ourselves, and by learning to let go of anger and hurt. Acceptance and forgiveness are essential, but knowing when to let go of someone is too. Guilt and fear are reduced as pride and confidence increase. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I help with parenting issues and any interpersonal relationships. I conduct evaluations for ADHD and learning disabilities. Couples and families in which one person has ADHD benefit greatly. My down-to-earth approach appeals to all ages, especially children and adolescents. My perspective on life and people is different than most. My parents were foreign born; I understand cultural differences. After college I traveled the world and had varied work experiences. My spiritual beliefs include most religions. I worked in public schools and know how special education issues can be facilitated.
