As infants, we need relationships to survive. Psychotherapy is about developing a trusting and safe relationship with another and using this relationship as secure platform to stand on while working together. Together we will explore your desires in life and what may be standing in the way of more peaceful and satisfying relationships and achieving your life goals. As symptoms arise and cause distress and unhappiness, I see these as a sign that things are ready to be worked though and understood. Using the mind, body, and spirit, we work to create more peaceful, meaningful relationships with self and others. I have extensive experience working with infants, children, families, and adults helping to resolve their distress and worries, and move toward more satisfying and enriched relationships. I provide infant/caregiver psychotherapy to help improve attachment relationships, play therapy for children to process internal distress, and psychodynamic psychotherapy for families and adults. I am experienced in providing clinical supervision for individuals and groups seeking their LICSW or a deeper understanding of their therapeutic work. I use a reflective supervision style and have the required training by the Minnesota Board of Social Work. I will also accommodate out of town supervision needs.
