"My approach is sensitive and honest". I often feel privileged to be a counselor and I appreciate the difficulty most of us have asking for help even when we need it the most. I believe that we develop problem behaviors often times because we lack balance in some area of our lives. Most of us have what we need inside of us to transcend our experiences, however, a good therapist can assist us in getting where we want to be more quickly and safely. My formal background is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but I use a variety of clinical methods in my work. My specialties include working with: Eating Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Relationship Challenges, Women's Issues, Co-Dependency and Parenting Teens. I use a strengths-based approach as a way of joining with clients while creating a safe and supportive environment. I enjoy working with Couples. Marriage is perhaps the most intense and meaningful personal relationship we will have; as such, it is also the most difficult one to navigate. Helping others discover or rediscover their feelings for each other in this way can be very fulfilling for therapist and client alike.
