In addition to being a licensed counselor, I am also a committed Christian and practice in a Christian counseling center. I work with both teenagers and adults of various ages and with a variety of issues. Within my profession I work with individuals, couples or families seeking counseling. Although my experience is not limited to the following, my specific areas of focus include: depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse recovery, PTSD, adoption related issues, addictions - specializing in eating disorders, and general life issues. I am interested in working with people who are ready to improve the quality of their life. My methodology for counseling derives from a holistic and strength based approach. I value having a collaborative therapeutic relationship with my clients, while together we address their specific concerns. Since every client is different, I strive to select interventions and treatment modalities that are suitable to their personality and situation. Christians can face a unique challenge when seeking professional help. Many have adopted the belief that a prayerful relationship with God "should" be enough to heal, but God never intended for us to face this journey alone.
