Milo, a King Charles Spaniel, joins me in working with children ages 4 to 14. The use of a friendly pet reduces anxiety and eases conversation between the child-client and counselor. My goal, and Milo's, is for the child-client to feel relaxed and warmly received. I use therapeutic play activities while Milo provides comfort and sloppy kisses. My 30-year career as an educator and school counselor provides me with strategies for redirecting behavior, mitigating trauma, and reducing anxiety in children. You and your child may visit my website to view more photos of my office. I provide a Christian-based practice. Spirituality is a profoundly important aspect of our lives, one that provides us with a framework for making good choices and building positive interpersonal relationships. I offer parent consultation and parent training. I am willing to work with school personnel to help children find behavioral and emotional success. My office is conveniently located at S Yale/E 91st, behind Starbucks and ONB Bank.
