After 35+ years as a practicing psychotherapist, I have come to recognize that therapy is a complex commitment on the part of both the patient and therapist to an ongoing process of connection and relationship building based on trust and mutual respect. This takes time, courage and close attention to a person's thoughts, feelings. hopes, and fears that underlie most of life's struggles and losses. The goal of therapy is to become aware of who you are and how you got there. Change comes out of that relationship. I started my career working with a multidiscipline outpatient practice for 10 years and then with my own practice for 20 years. Currently I now work out of my home with my wife who is also a therapist. Together we provide services to children, adolescents and adults I work with people in individual, family, and group therapy. I have been doing groups with men for over 20 years with good success. I have a particular interest in trauma and its impact on later life conflict. I have more recently worked with addicts and their families.
