Carol Adams, LCSW, has trained both nationally and internationally in the fields of Marriage/Family, Eating Disorders, Addictions, Women's Issues, and Depression/Anxiety. Emphasis is placed on the connection between mind and body, as physical illnes may sometimes be a manifestation of our psychological state. She integrates mind, body and emotion, so that clients come to experience more harmony and wholeness. In her experience, "we all have within us an enormous potential to heal. We learn to utilize our own inner resources to achieve and maintain a sense of balance, clarity and well-being." Ms. Adams received her Master's of Social Work degree from the University of Alabama in 1982. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, and is licensed by the State of Alabama # (0852C). She has 30 years experience working with individuals, couples, families; and 14 years specializing in Eating Disorders. Ms. Adams has trained intermittently since 1996 with Marion Woodman, Ph.D., Canadian analyst and internationally known author and lecturer, in the fields of addiction, eating disorders, and body/psyche connection. Honoring the feminine principle (relatedness) is the core of this healing process for men and women. Dreams are often a component of this approach.
