I have been treating children and adolescents for the past 20 years. I enjoy working with parents in helping their children develop effective coping strategies and resilience for the challenges they are encountering, and may encounter in the future. Most of my work has been assessing children and adolescents, then working with parents, primary care physicians, and schools to develop an integrated supportive treatment plan. I completed my board certification in Pediatric Neuropsychology in 2005. This process involves completing a written examination, a review of work samples, and a candidate interview. Board certification insures the family is working with a highly trained professional. My undergraduate and graduate school training occurred at faith based institutions, including Calvin College, Wheaton College, and George Fox University. I am comfortable discussing how faith interacts with a patient/family experience of their difficulties, as well as their expectations for treatment.
