I provide individual, couples and family therapy and bring a kind and gentle manner to the work. It is my belief that we all possess the power to change within ourselves, but that at times we need the help of others to allow change to take place. I work to help clients find the insight they need about themselves to help them change and heal so that their future may be different from their present.. My preferred approach for therapy one that includes attention to emotion and body sensations in the hopes of teaching people to tolerate difficult emotions rater that avoid them. This is a process I have named Dominant Emotional State Therapy. I also employ Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to reprocess past traumas. I bring a different approach to my practice that allows individuals to gain a clearer view on how their unique life experiences shape their lives, and how at times instances that do not seem that significant at the time of occurrence cause us to be "stuck" for years..
