The folks I work with are male and female, ages 14 to 85. My approach includes individual, group, couples, and family counseling as appropriate. Most of the persons I work with feel lonely and disconnected. Some are struggling with anxiety or depression, compulsions and addictions. The combination of loneliness, depression, and unresolved pains from the past often results in sexual addiction issues in men and eating disorders in women. In both men and women, relationship issues are a frequent concern. Many persons also have spiritual concerns or have experienced abuse by an authority figure and these may become a focus. I specialize in improving relationship satisfaction and in helping people learn to love and accept themselves. Often the inability to form satisfying relationships and a lack of self-regard go hand-in-hand. I encourage my clients to take increasing responsibiltiy for their lives and for the changes they desire. I have personal experience dealing with relationship issues, serious illness, and depression. I have learned powerful breathing and movement exercises which I share with clients who wish to learn. I have worked with many valued teachers, leading authorites in men's issues, couples issues, addiction, brain-state change, and qigong.
