I enjoy working with issues that arise in relationships such as conflict and communication problems, parenting issues, and difficulty managing stress and transitions. I do a lot of work with families and couples, as well as individuals. I teach communication skills as well as co-parenting and general parenting skills, and I have done a lot of work transitioning families to post-divorce stability. I am also a former elementary and adult ed teacher and have a good grasp on educational issues with learners of all ages. I love watching my clients take on self-leadership therapy and grow and change in important ways. I love watching what happens when people take on the role of healer of their wounds, and parent of themselves. I love watching the transformation that occurs when people reorient to themselves. I have a very focused, productive, structured, and positive approach to counseling. I have a strong presence and don't have a problem being "too nice" or "too passive", according to my clients. We will work hard, and we will laugh hard. Therapy can be fun as well as transformative.
