Hello, my name is Christine Rykiel and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Charlotte County, FL. I own a group counseling practice in Port Charlotte FLorida that specializes in providing caring and nuturing counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults who are coping with issues such as depression, anxiety, developmental delays, trauma, substance abuse, divorce/separation, and significant life changes. It is the goal of both myself and the therapists in my practice to provide treatment that will increase a patient's overall self confidence and personal growth. The treatment I offer to my patients utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy techniques that teach my patients how to adjust their negative thoughts and feelings so that they can: choose healthy, positive thoughts, they can respond rather than react to situations, and so that they can overcome guilt, anger, anxiety, and stress. Our practice, Southwest Florida Counseling Center, accepts all major insurance plans including Medicaid and Medicare and most EAP plans as well. At our practice we provide high quality counseling services at a price that can fit anyone's budget.
