I believe that emotional or psychological healing begins within ourselves through powerful use of our voices to tell our own stories, in our own words and in our own time. I provide clients a safe, nurturing space to explore their greatest challenges. Through my empathic, integrative approach, my clients move toward greater self-understanding as to how to manage their lives. The client-therapist relationship is the most important aspect of therapy, so I focus on connecting with clients in a way that serves as a foundation for their ability to change. My clients lean towards my flexible, yet direct approach to change. I enjoy working individuals across diverse groups who struggle with past/present relationship challenges, anxiety/worry and depression. I have specific expertise with persons of African descent, students, young professionals and racial/ethnic minorities. In addition to my private practice, I work with students and employees at Emory University/Emory University Hospital. I provide organizational and group consultation on topics related to psychological health, relationships, stress management, etc. Evening and Saturday appointments are availabe at this time.
