I work to help people with emotional pain find relief and create more fulfilling lives, offering hope that difficulties can be eased and that change is possible. Day to day life is often difficult without the added tension of a crisis or the burden of depression or anxiety. In periods of stress, we all do the best we can with what we have, often using coping methods which may have worked for us at one point but that prove less useful as we change and grow. This is where a therapist's intervention can be valuable and often life transforming. Whether you seek brief or more extensive therapy, I would provide clarification, support, and insight, promoting an enhanced self-awareness. Our work would be grounded in the belief that truly lasting change results from understanding not only the symptoms of distress, but also the deeper obstacles that govern thoughts and behavior. Once these obstacles are seen in a new light, the path toward healing often becomes clear. I believe strongly in each person's unique potential for becoming more fully who they wish to be and in our ability to transform disappointment in ourselves, our relationships, or the world around us into an embracing, affirmation of life.
