Life can be overwhelming, difficult and sometimes feel out of control. I believe that you have the power to affect change and live a more fulfilled and meaningful life in spite of the difficulties you may experience. I will work with you to build greater self-awareness and sense of purpose. My goal is to help you become aware of your own internal resources and find ways to use them to move your life forward. In sessions, I focus on using evidence based methods. I am able to utilize integrative methods according to your needs and goals. I primarily use cognitive behavioral methods, exposure and response prevention and dialectical behavioral therapy. I adapt these to an age appropriate level depending on the client's need. I have a graduate certificate in Trauma and Bereavement. My primary experience is in acute psychiatric social work and intensive out patient treatment. I am able to address issues in children, adults and families who face serious illness in a loved one, as well as the dying process and bereavement issues.
