Are you, or someone you know, struggling with an eating disorder, negative body image, poor self esteem, lack of confidence, and/or unhealthy relationships/struggles with food and exercise? As the previous clinical director of an eating disorder treatment program, certified eating disorder creative arts therapist, and board certified music therapist, I can provide you with a full assessment, create a treatment team based on your individual needs, and provide activity guidelines/recommendations and meal support. I also have several group therapy options and work with women who are struggling with body image/nutrition/self esteem during pregnancy or postpartum. In order to cope with various struggles in life, food, exercise, and body appearance often become a way for people to have control when everything else in life seems out of their control. Many people don't realize that males are just as susceptible as females for acquiring eating disorders. My intensive outpatient services offer individual, family and group sessions for all ages, males or females. If interested in music therapy, you do not have to have a musical background to benefit from this approach. Interventions can foster self expression while increasing self awareness & insight in a non-threatening way.
