I know that the stress of life can be overwhelming. You may be suffering with depression, anxiety, trauma or loss/grief. When flooded with unpleasant emotions asking for help can bring relief. I offer you; a way back to connection with others, inner stability and calm, renewed meaning and purpose in your life, a return to joy, compassion, laughter, love. Your life and what is troubling you is private. I work first to create trust and safety with confidentiality. I carefully listen. I approach your feelings, thoughts and behaviors with kindness and respect. We work together to improve your life. Old patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving about ourselves and toward others can lead to hopelessness, despair, depression. Doubts and concerns become worries, anxieties or fears. Childhood trauma, current tragedy or chaos can further complicate. New patterns can be learned, trauma resolved. First I offer relief and hope. Eventually, change Over the near 30 years of clinical practice in community, psychiatric, residential programs I have learned the most effective way to guide others through trouble is working with the unique, strong, valuable aspects each person possesses . The rest is a commitment to the process of change.
