I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Psychotherapist with deep interest, experience and clinical training in helping adults identify and work through the underlying issues that produce symptoms, such as depression and anxiety. Much of my therapeutic focus has been aimed toward helping people as they gently navigate through stages of grief and loss and difficult life transitions; helping people to best cope with the challenge of balancing family and work; providing support to parents of teens and emerging adults as they become increasingly independent; and providing support to caregivers for aging parents. My approach is client centered, non-judgmental and collaborative, with an appreciation for the uniqueness of every person, and an ethical attitude that includes confidentiality, acceptance, respect and honesty. While placing emphasis on the potential benefits of self-care, I offer empathy and support, collaborating with clients as they explore ideas and take steps toward solving their problems, living a self-directed, meaningful life, and striving to reach their full potential.
