To feel alone with the pain of depression, anxiety and loss can be overwhelming. By creating a compassionate and supportive theraputic environment, painful feelings and conflicted relationships can be explored and resolved. Working with dreams and fantasies and by honoring your life story, a new understanding of your self and your relationships can emerge. As a graduate of New York University School of Social Work, my clinical training is in psychodynamic and analytical psychotherapy. I have extensive experience in crisis intervention, long term treatment and substance abuse. I have worked in hospital settings with patients struggling with issues of suicide and symptoms of psychosis. In my practice I focus on understanding your problems through an open, honest and interactive relationship. I understand pain and suffering as potentially transformative life experiences. Effective theraputic intervention can create a space to discover and embrace your authentic self.
