Phoenix House Mid-Atlantic TRICARE certification at Phoenix House Mid-Atlantic (PHMA) for our Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and our Adolescent Boys and Girls Recovery Lodges (BRL & GRL). Phoenix House is now in-network with Health Net Federal Services/TRICARE North Region. For more than fifty years, Phoenix Houses of the Mid-Atlantic has been the area's leader in adolescent and adult behavioral healthcare, operating programs throughout metropolitan Washington, DC area. Phoenix House offers a full continuum of care for clients struggling with substance abuse, addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders to include assessment, education, intensive out-patient and medically managed gender specific residential treatment programs. We know that with a thorough assessment, appropriate comprehensive care and individualized treatment those struggling with substance abuse and dual diagnosis disorders can recover and reclaim their lives. Residential Treatment Services Phoenix House offers medically managed, gender specific residential treatment programs for adults and adolescents. All programs have a flexible length of stay based on the individual client's needs. Length of stay can range from less than 30 days to several months. The treatment team includes a Medical Director, Psychiatrist, Licensed and Masters level counselors as well as highly trained recovery support staff. Medication assisted withdrawal management services, to include Suboxone tapers, are part of the available services. The men's program offers a Spanish speaking track as well as sober living options following primary treatment. In the woman's residential program, women have the option to have up to two children under the age of six with them in treatment. The Boys and Girls Recovery Lodges offer school as well as treatment services. All programs offer evidenced based treatment practices to included trauma informed programming and co-occurring services. Outpatient Treatment Services The Phoenix House Counseling Center in Arlington offers assessments, various treatment options and education service for adults and adolescents. A thorough clinical assessment is the first step in determining the specific needs of an individual for whom substance abuse appears to be a problem. Highly skilled clinicians who specialize in substance abuse are available to assess the extent of the problem and motivate clients for change. The Counseling Center offers substance abuse education classes, partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and outpatient treatment and. We are responsive to those in crisis and in most cases are able to admit to care immediately.
