Have you tried everything you know to do, but still not getting through to your child and worried about the path they're on? Do they seem persistently sad, frustrated, annoyed, angry, antagonistic and even hostile; blaming others for their choice of behavior, and refusing to comply with rules and deliberately defying your attempts to discipline them? Are they abusing drugs or alcohol, or hanging out with kids who do, and you fear for their wellbeing? Working with such kids is my specialty. I help to bridge the gap of understanding and appreciation between children/adolescents and their parents. I was once this kid myself, but received help as a teen by a counselor who helped me sort through my emotional pain, blame and anger and find my way back. Counseling changed my life and out of gratitude I've been reaching back for hurting kids ever since. Though my degree is in mental Health Counseling, I operate more like a coach and mentor. I'll be able to help your child gain insight into their thoughts/judgments, feelings and behaviors, while treating their emotional wounds, helping them to restore their relationships and find their passion for life.
