My life experience has taught me that effective counseling is based upon ongoing clarity (communication) of expectations and shared responsibility. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and families on such issues as: depression, anxiety, stress management, developing parenting strategies, childrens behavioral concerns, adolescent self-esteem, social difficulties, and general adjustment to changes within families. My goal is to help you identify your life goals. Empower you to take ownership to reach your goals as promptly as is reasonably possible, to examine choices you are making and to see yourself as the primary catalyst for change in your life, irrespective of what others may or may not do. I take an integrative approach, which draws from three successful counseling models: cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy and a Holistic approach. An integrative approach allows me to tailor the counseling sessions to meet your individual needs.
