Melanie holds a PhD in Addiction Psychology and a MS in Psychology with an emphasis in Addiction Psychology. She is currently completing her second doctorate in general psychology. She has been in the helping profession for over 19 years. She hold certifications in the field of sexual offender treatment, clinical alcohol and drug counseling, substance abuse professional, problem gambling, crisis intervention, trauma, and domestic violence. She has served on the the Oral Examiners Panel for the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug, and Gambling Counselors, Nevada Statewide Native American Coalition, Goshen and Best Coalition. Promoting Awareness...Influencing Change...Creating a Healthier Tomorrow is our vision. In order to accomplish our vision services should be client focused. Thus, utilizing methodologies such as Motivational Interviewing and the Matrix model provides an opportunity for clients to make choices in their recovery process. Our mission at Bison Diversity Wellness Center, Prof. Corp. is to provide educational opportunities to the community at large, promote cultural awareness, and culturally appropriate counseling services to those who are in need.Our goal is to provide clients an environment conducive to healing, growth, and change.
