What I enjoy about being a counselor is helping people discover the tools and skills that will allow them to live much fuller and healthier lives. I started my practice in Washington D.C. in 1999. I do individual, couples and family counseling. My approach to counseling is to zero in, as quickly as possible, on the persons basic philosophy of life; to get them to see exactly what this is and how it is inevitably, and behaviorally, self-defeating: an to persuade him or her to work, cognitively, emotively, and behaviorally, to change it. I use the clinical therapeutic technique's of Motivational Interviewing plus Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. Christian Counseling is also available. I've been at the F.O.C.C. since 2009.
