Las Vegas Recovery Center's Pain Recovery treatment program and addiction treatment programs are led by award winning Doctor, Author and LVRC Medical Director Mel Pohl, M.D., FASAM. Both programs have influenced many other respected and recognized pain treatment and substance abuse and addiction treatment programs worldwide. Chronic Pain Treatment LVRC's Pain Treatment Program focuses on the discovery of Pain Recovery as the alternative to traditional pain management. "Pain Recovery" is a unique and effective approach to pain treatment developed by our own resident experts to reduce pain and increase function, thus improving the quality of life-all without habit-forming pain medications. We offer specialized care to individuals who want to avoid risks associated with opioid-induced pain management, as well as those who need to continue a pain treatment program while alleviating the effects of prior opioid-induced pain management on their lives. For many of our clients, LVRC bridges the gap between pain management programs and traditional addiction treatment programs. Our specialists include medical and behavioral experts and doctors who will identify the core reason for your pain. This can be caused by a variety of conditions and diseases including (but not limited to): Complications from the excessive use of pain management medication and/or other substances abused in order to find pain relief, Spinal disc disease, Failed surgeries, Upper extremity injuries, Chronic pain syndrome, Disabling functional impairments, Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), Reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome (RSD), Migraines, Fibromyalgia, Neuropathy, Arthritis Addiction Treatment Las Vegas Recovery Center has developed a comprehensive continuum of care that is designed to help both our clients and their families to "discover recovery" from addiction. Based on years of experience and evidence, we believe and practice abstinence vs. medicated assisted treatment. Medically managed withdrawal is only the beginning of the recovery process and is administered in a safe, confidential, clinical environment that ensures the very least amount of discomfort during addiction treatment. After an extensive medical and psychological evaluation our clients enter into the appropriate inpatient addiction treatment program designed specifically for that individual and his or her family. We often enroll inpatient addiction treatment program alumni in our outpatient addiction treatment program along with those who have a stable home environment and a recovery support network in place. Our Intensive Outpatient Addiction Treatment Program is designed to assist those who have completed detox and inpatient treatment or for those who have been identified as candidates for direct admission to IOP. Some of our outpatient clients are residents in our recovery residences, where we ensure clean living environments and transportation to our outpatient treatment program locations.
