My approach to counseling is based on trust, genuine positive regard, honesty, truth, empathy not moral judging, collaboration, respect for individual autonomy (self-determination), and professional excellence. I offer quality counseling services at reasonable fees, with a specialization in Christian counseling. My goal is therapeutic effectiveness to bring about true healing, strengthening, and empowering of the individual or relationship, leading to authentic health in mind, body, spirit, and relationships. I began my counseling career in a community mental health setting where I provided counseling to adults, adolescents, and children. Although I've worked with a wide array of difficulties, my areas of specific interest include anxiety difficulties (social, general, OCD, etc.), depression, relationship/marital problems, addictions (chemical, sexual, etc), spiritual difficulties, and adjustment difficulties. In addition to earning a Master's degree in Counseling, I also have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, and have worked in the health & wellness field as a personal trainer/health & fitness professional for 5 years. I welcome opportunities to also serve those struggling with obesity, chronic health conditions, or other physical impairments.
