I have over ten years of professional counseling experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults through individual and family therapy. My practice areas include clients experiencing anxiety, adjustment challenges, depression, grief, stress, health-related concerns, and mood disturbances. I often work with children and adolescents with social and emotional challenges with varied diagnoses. My treatment approach is varied and collaborative, utilizing multiple approaches in therapy tailored to the needs of the client. I strive to provide a safe and consistent relationship with my clients while challenging them to examine how their thoughts and behaviors impact the world around them. I believe in the power of therapy and the therapeutic relationship. There may be times during therapy that art and/or other creative expression is used to develop an opportunity to see things from a different perspective. Expressive therapies can offer clients other ways to communicate feelings, thoughts, and goals. In developing a healthy therapeutic relationship, you should feel as though the therapeutic environment is safe, supportive, confidential, and non-judgmental. The focus will remain on your growth.
