I enjoy working with families, children, and adolescents in different stages of their lives. I also enjoy working with blended families or those that are currently going through a divorce or separation. Through working consistently with a therapist, even severe problems can either totally resolve itself or become more manageable. I believe that to effectively work with children, parents should play an active role in the therapy. The entire family unit can improve through continual parental education and communication. I am looking for motivated families and parents who don't mind a little work outside of the therapy hour! I have advanced training in family therapy, play therapy, and crisis interventions. I enjoy working with groups of adolescents and children with anxiety. I have treated children, adolescents and their families with severe mental health issues such as suicide attempts, self harming, and psychosis. Our practice has groups for adults, children, and adolescents with varying problems. Through groups, people can see that they are not alone in their struggles. They learn from each other and they learn skills that they would not otherwise learn in individual therapy.
