I believe that people can reach their full potential within a safe, empathic and confidential therapeutic relationship. I use a relational psychodynamic approach that incorporates an integration of successful therapeutic principles. I work collaboratively with each person focusing on his or her unique dilemmas and abilities. In my therapy practice, I deal with a wide range of issues which include, coping with anxiety, stress and depression, developing greater satisfaction in personal, professional and family relationships, coping with the pain of loss, and working on gender related issues. I have been practicing as a clinical psychologist in the Dupont Circle community for the past 25 years and have been teaching and supervising other psychotherapists for over 20 years. I formerly served as the Executive Director of the Washington School of Psychiatry and was voted a Top Therapist in Washingtonian Magazine
