I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to form a close working relationship to resolve their concerns. I appreciate straightforward communication where clients provide me with honest feedback regarding the helpfulness (or not) of the interventions I recommend. With this information, treatment is adapted to fit the client's preferred style for healing. Clients and I forge a emotionally healing relationship wherein we identify treatment strategies to enhance emotional well-being, problem-solving, communication, symptom reduction, and personal growth. My treatment specialties involve trauma or significantly painful experiences or feelings. My goal is to relieve emotional pain as quickly as possible while understanding that experiencing deeply held pain is part of the healing process. The right of each client to experience pain in their own time and in their own way is deeply respected. I have experienced a number of personal traumas that uniquely equip me to provide support and comfort to others in pain. Having "been there" myself, I am able to draw from my own traumatic experiences, my own therapy, and my own quest for healing to help those who are in deep emotional pain.
