Offering specialized programs for outpatient detoxification, Comprehensive Opioid Response with the Twelve Steps (COR-12) for detoxing from heroin, and chronic pain management in the Portland area, our integrated approach and individualized care ensures a respectful and healing outpatient treatment experience Outpatient Addiction Treatment Programs Hazelden delivers compassionate and innovative Intensive Outpatient Programming for those addicted to alcohol and other drugs, chemical dependency assessments, and mental health services. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) is offered in the morning hours as well as in the evening. The IOP offers a treatment model that allows individuals to fully experience treatment and incorporate it into their daily lives, whether working, volunteering, caring for family, or going to school. *Meets for nine group hours per week. *Includes sessions with a chemical dependency counselor. *Is intended for those who do not require medically supervised residential detoxification or stabilization and who have stable mental and physical health. *Is conducted under Twelve Step addiction treatment principles. Requires six weeks minimum length of treatment; completion is based on progress made on treatment plan and in recovery. We provide outpatient detoxification services for opioids, alcohol, and benzodiazepines (transitioning either to Suboxone or Vivitrol) in a safe and comfortable setting with the monitoring of our medical staff, provided you are an appropriate candidate. The detoxification can typically be accomplished within one business day. This allows people to continue to work and get family support while improving their lives. The COR-12 group, a specialty outpatient treatment group for people addicted to pain pills, heroin, or other opioid drugs, is offered in the morning and in the evening. All patients being treated with Suboxone and Naltrexone attend at least one COR-12 group a week after they complete the IOP. Pain management at Hazelden is not opiate-based treatment. Meaning, we do not prescribe opiates like many pain management clinics. Our overall goal is preservation and improvement of the quality of life and reducing the risk of unnecessary procedures and complications from medications. We work with other pain management physicians, surgeons and primary care physicians to ensure cohesive care is delivered. Our expertise is in chemical dependency, addiction, and neurobehavioral pain management. Our first goal is to help our patients medically detoxify from the opiates they are dependent upon, misusing, or have become addicted to.Hazelden offers assessment services either in person, by phone, or electronically. *Free, self-guided, online alcohol and drug screening tool at aboutmydrinking.org for assessment, prevention, education, and intervention. *In-person substance use assessments with a licensed professional to determine whether treatment services are recommended and, if so, what type. *Pain assessment services.
