My focus is on helping people develop more satisfying personal and work relationships, discover and change self-defeating patterns, and increase ability to handle difficult situations. My work with clients is collaborative, positive, and interactive and is aimed at increasing coping strategies, interpersonal skills, self awareness, and self acceptance. My approach is informed by research, but is also tailored to individual needs. I use a blend of Cognitive-Behavioral, Interpersonal, and Mindfulness/Acceptance therapies. I have worked in various social service settings with many different kinds of people. This broad experience has given me a wonderful appreciation of clients as unique individuals.
