Welcome! Choosing a therapist is a big decision and I appreciate your consideration! I have 25 years of experience working with people of all ages dealing with every issue under the sun, including survivors of trauma such as childhood abuse, sexual assault, and accidents. I enjoy teaching better communication to couples. Though not a veteran myself, I am familiar with military culture and have an affinity for military men and women, and veterans. I have traveled widely and appreciate cultural diversity. I teach skills to manage anxiety and depression, and resolve conflicts, such as whether to divorce, or put a parent in a nursing home. I have worked with people with substance abuse issues, including alcoholism and opiate addiction. I use DBT, CBT, and EMDR to help clients make rapid progress. I was in a near-fatal car accident years ago, and had to recover from numerous broken bones and a traumatic brain injury. Therefore, I have a special empathy for people with disabilities.
