About Us Riverview provides inpatient & residential adolescent and geriatric treatment in Texarkana, AR, in the Ark-La-Tex, for issues such as self-injury, aggression, depression, and other behavioral health issues. Treatment is under the medical direction and supervision of our staff psychiatrists and administered by nurses, social workers, therapists, recreational specialists, special education teachers and a team of other caring mental health professionals. At Riverview Behavioral Health, we provide a confidential and caring environment that promotes resolution, positive self awareness, social skills development, and personal growth. Our goal is to ensure that all of our residents receive the highest level of care and leave living a happier, healthier life. Children & Adolescent Programs When you come to us for help regarding your child, we first conduct a free assessment to help identify his or her needs. Based upon these clinical assessments, we'll are able to determine the appropriate level of care for your child. Our levels of care for children include the following: Inpatient & Residential Treatment, which provides your child with a safe and nurturing environment designed to meet all of your their special needs; and School Based Counseling, which is designed for students who have learning difficulties, or for those that may find it difficult to maintain appropriate behavior while attending classes. Riverview also offers a Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) program on campus. TDT is an alternative school for elementary through high school aged students who cannot function within a regular school setting. The students at TDT attend classes and receive treatment for their mental health issues in an environment specifically designed for them. Adult Program Our Adult Behavioral Health Program is designed to ensure the most comprehensive care for adults (age 35+) and seniors who need care. In our adult program, you will be provide an intimate, home-like environment where you get the care and compassion that you need as we help you regain the highest level of functioning. We provide treatment for those struggling with issues such as depression, suicidal thoughts, psychosis, dementia, and confusion. We understand that these complex disorders present differently in adults and our staff is well-trained to handle individuals who are coping with these disorders through structured therapies and quality time with loved ones.
