Thank you for your interest in learning more about my therapeutic services. I possess over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, & women. I specialize in TRAUMA, ANXIETY, & BEHAVIORAL concerns. I am EMDR & Trauma-Focused CBT trained. Uniquely, I use Talk and Expressive Arts (e.g. painting & experiential activities) in therapy to help clients explore emotions, self-regulate feelings, & learn coping strategies. I believe that there are deep reservoirs of strength & potential within each of us to overcome challenges. Talk therapy and the use of the Creativity in therapy broaden the client's opportunity to reach one's full potential. Why use Expressive Arts in therapy? Often, clients can't find the words to express what they are feeling. Experiential activities along with Talk Therapy bring feelings into a visable form for self awareness & change. Is prior art experience necessary? Absolutely not. It's for everyone & another way to access feelings. I have over 15 years of experience as a Creative Therapist in an educational setting with special needs & emotionally-behaviorally disturbed populations. In private practice, target populations include individual/ group sessions for women experiencing life events, and children/ adolescents experiencing trauma, anxiety, behavioral concerns, & ADHD. Special training includes TRAUMA & Expressive Art.
