I work best with people who are ready for change and to put it all on the table in the pursuit of relational wellness and health. If you're motivated to change your situation for the better, I whole-heartedly believe I can help you in that journey. We'll work together to strengthen your self-awareness under the belief that all behavior has meaning and none of us would ever knowingly make our lives difficult. I'm especially interested in working with individuals and couples with histories of trauma and young couples in their early years of marriage. While working for the Texas Department of State Health Services, I was appointed by the governor as the children's mental health expert for Texas and led the redesign of children's community mental health services. I've presented at numerous national conferences on a variety of behavioral health issues. As part of Chenal Family Therapy PLC, I work with a team of dedicated therapists who each specializes in different issues. This team approach allows me to bring a much broader expertise than just my own to your counseling experience and provide coordinated treatment and referrals for families or couples.
