I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families (ages 5 through adult) who want to feel happier and healthier. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I respect differences in cultures, religions, values, and how my clients self identify. I use a variety of therapy skills - CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy w/ Mindfulness most often) and am trained to use tools such as EMDR and/or energy psychology skills. I work in a welcoming office that offers groups for kids and adults (see website). We offer collaboration within the agency and a fantastic interactive/play therapy room. Credentials: Master of Science in Community Counseling (MS), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Treatment focus: Finding happiness & purpose, managing emotions (overcoming depression, confronting anxiety, respecting grief), developing coping skills for handling challenges (relationships, parenting, intimacy, school or work, self-esteem, life transitions, social problems and more). Prior to private practice counseling, my background includes a BA in Anthropology (Cultural Studies), public mental & behavioral health case management & counseling, Crisis Response (CR) with the Phoenix Fire Department, credentialed teacher, and cognitive & speech therapy assistant/provider.
