I have worked closely with birth, foster, and adoptive families for over twelve years and have extensive experience in the child protection and foster care systems as well as the adoption process and related concerns. Issues that often accompany these circumstances include relational trauma, disrupted attachments, and accompanying emotional responses and I am qualified to assist children and families with all of these concerns. I treated children and their family systems while based in a school setting for five years. During that time my work focused on issues related to anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, school related issues, transgender identity, as well as changing families due to foster care, adoption, incarceration, divorce or death. My clinical work within an educational system provides me familiarity with 504 Plans and accommodations, IEPs, and behavioral plans.I particularly enjoy working with children within the context of the family system and am willing to provide parenting support and guidance as part of a treatment plan.
