Looking for a therapist? Starting this process can feel overwhelming, confusing, and scary. The good news is that counseling can actually be fun and interesting! It is my aim to help you better manage the areas in life that cause you trouble, while highlighting strengths you may not know you have. I'm a psychotherapist specializing in the areas of depression, anxiety, sexuality and relationship issues. I use a humanist/relational approach, meaning I consider the counselor-client relationship to be collaborative. I help clients build upon their inner-strengths to manage current stressors, while learning about how our past experiences influence our current choices. Often the hardest thing we can do is acknowledge that things aren't working and seek alternative solutions. But then? Anything is possible. Or, as a hero of mine (Carl Rogers) says: "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
