For 20 years I have enjoyed helping adults and their relationships to heal, thrive, and grow. My relational approach to counseling is based on my Christian and Psychodynamic understanding of how people heal and mature in the context of relationships that are trustworthy, empathic, and clarifying. I enjoy working with men and women from many walks of life and perspectives of faith. Your desire for personal fulfillment and loving relationships is essential to the therapy process. As needed, I can bring a variety of skills to promote insight into self and others, personal responsibility, and collaborative communication. The work often involves understanding why problems exist, clarifying what change is desired, and assisting action in that direction. I believe people can change during any stage of life and I think of the therapeutic relationship as a meaningful process in which you and I work together to facilitate growth.
